UV damage can occur in any weather! Accumulation of damage can cause age spots and dullness.
UV-A, which destroys collagen and elastin and causes a lack of firmness, and UV-B, which causes age spots and freckles, are both present 365 days a year, so you can't let your guard down.
Beware of two types of UV rays!
■UV-A
UV-A, also known as "everyday UV rays," can slip through clouds and window glass and reach deep into the skin, causing wrinkles and sagging. Even indoors, be careful and apply sunscreen.
■UV-B
UV-B, also known as "resort UV rays," mainly damages the epidermis. UV-B sunburn causes the skin to become red and inflamed, then turn black. This inflammation promotes the production of melanin pigment, which eventually causes age spots, freckles, and dull skin.
